I was pleasantly surprised to see Google’s Doodle honoring Edith Head on her birthday today. She definitely is one of my favorite costume designers. The styles she created for the movies I adore, especially the Alfred Hitchcock movies, influenced me greatly.

I’m glad she was a Scorpio women, it just seems fitting if you follow western astrology and know a little about her personality. She also died on my birthday, which makes her truly a full circle Scorpio if there is such a thing. Read more about her at Time.

And shout out to another Scorpio woman: Lady Liberty. That’s right, the dedication ceremony for the Statue of Liberty was held October 28, 1886.
