Our awesome, wonderful Democrat assemblywoman lost to a Republican because too many didn’t vote. Even in California, it’s easy to lose if people don’t vote 😦
It’s sad. NC will have some of the worse voter restrictions in 2016. Right now we have such early voting and even voting on weekends, without the need for ID that their really was no reason not to vote. I voted absentee ballot. I think often people get caught up in the “big” issues and the politician bait and switch, and forget that they don’t impact them personally at all, but local and state laws and regulations are what really impact most people’s daily lives.
