Word a Week Challenge: Distant

When I went to my first food truck rodeo, I had already fixed my mind to get red bean paste buns and the Five Spice Chicken bun from Chirba Chirba. I couldn’t think of anything else.

When I arrived, the line was already a block long. In 90 degree North Carolina heat, that truck was never more distant.

But after and hour and a half wait—nirvana!
