Since the “rogue” sites went dark over a week ago, a lot of Asian drama viewers are looking for another source to watch them.
As fans of Asian entertainment, we’ve all probably had to use websites that possibly had questionable rights to share content. Particularly fans of non-anime Japanese TV shows. They are notoriously hard to find on paid streaming platforms. It’s even harder to find older shows. Recently Netflix has added a few featuring Japanese star Takuya Kimura. Hopefully other platforms will too.
Not many strong replacement options available
Unfortunately I don’t know of a site that has a wide variety of shows from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and Mainland China like those rogue sites did. But Tubi is one that has older, high quality Korean and some Chinese dramas.
You just have to watch a few ads. They’re not too intrusive and break at proper points. Best of all you don’t have to worry about malware getting on your devices.
Here are a few TV shows and movies I recommend to get you started.

While I’m only mentioning Korea content, there are some excellent Chinese dramas like Story of Yanxi Palace. Check out more K-dramas on Tubi.
Where are you watching Korean variety shows for free now that popular alternatives have shut down? Do you really think they’re gone forever this time? Tell us in the comments.
