Insatiable–a love poem

My excitement about the iTunes Festival reminded me of a poem I wrote a looong time ago about how much music means to me.

Insatiable

If music be the food of life…

What would I do without you?
When you’re most beautiful,
You make me shiver.
You tug at my heart,
pulling out hidden yearnings,
wrenching tears from inside.
I create stories
to fit your melodies.
You caress my mind,
stimulate dreams.
Constant companion
With a funky beat
For my dancing feet.
Or a mellow tune
For relaxing in my room.
Making me smile or tap my toes
Music…your beauty…
Everywhere

I will never go hungry…
